A'EL ESTE by Ashlee Lauren (ABN 39 974 859 894, trading as Ashlee Lauren Pty Ltd) respects your privacy. This Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and your rights, when you visit aeleste.com or purchase from us.

2. Information We Collect

• Personal information: name, email, shipping and billing address, order history, and enquiries you send us.
• Marketing preferences: when you subscribe to email or SMS updates via Klaviyo.
• Website usage data: pages visited, time on site, device and browser type, IP address.
• Advertising and tracking data: collected via tracking pixels and tags from Google (Ads/Analytics), Meta (Facebook/Instagram), Klaviyo, and Pinterest, used to measure ad performance and show relevant ads.

We do not collect or store your payment card details. Payments are processed directly by Shopify Payments, Afterpay, and Klarna, each of which has its own privacy policy governing the information you provide to them (Afterpay and Klarna may also collect identity or credit information directly from you as part of their own approval process, this is between you and them, not us).

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

Every marketing email will identify A'EL ESTE by Ashlee Lauren as the sender with a working unsubscribe link, in line with the Spam Act 2003.

6. AI-Assisted Tools

We use Shopify's built-in chat and support tools, and Klaviyo's automated marketing features, some of which use AI to help respond to enquiries or personalise communications. These tools may process your enquiry or order information to do this. We don't use AI tools to make automated decisions that have a legal or similarly significant effect on you.

7. Data Security

We use secure servers, SSL encryption, and trusted providers (Shopify, Klaviyo, Google, Meta) to protect your information. Access to personally identifiable information internally is limited to what's needed to fulfil orders and respond to enquiries.

8. How Long We Keep Your Data

• Order and transaction records: retained for at least 5 years to meet Australian Taxation Office recordkeeping requirements.
• Marketing contact data: retained until you unsubscribe, or after 2 years of no engagement, whichever comes first.
• Enquiries and support messages: retained for as long as reasonably needed to resolve the matter and for our records, then deleted or de-identified.

9. Your Rights

You can:

• Request access to the personal information we hold about you
• Ask us to correct inaccurate information
• Withdraw consent for marketing at any time
• Request deletion of your personal information, where we're not required to keep it for legal or accounting reasons

10. Third-Party Service Providers

We work with Shopify (store platform and payments), Afterpay and Klarna (buy-now-pay-later), Klaviyo (email/SMS marketing), and Google, Meta, and Pinterest (advertising and analytics). Each only receives the information needed to perform their service and is subject to their own privacy policy.

11. International Data Transfers

Because we use Shopify, Klaviyo, Google, Meta, and Pinterest, your information may be processed on servers located outside Australia, including in the United States. We take reasonable steps to ensure these providers handle your information consistently with Australian privacy law.
